Since the movie Ray came out chronicling the life of the outstanding Ray Charles, there has been newfound interest in a number of his songs. ""Georgia On My Mind"" in particular, written by Stuart Gorrell and Hoagy Carmichael in 1930 and made famous by Charles in 1960, has received a record number of hits in web search engines. I felt I would take this opportunity to pay tribute to both Ray, as well as the incomparable Richard Manual, in posting a video of Richard singing that very song with The Band.
